Beyond storytelling through paint, paper, and digital mediums, I’ve always been grounded by a deep love for the outdoors. Growing up in the Midwest sparked an early sense of adventure that led me into backcountry hiking and camping throughout the U.S. Since meeting my husband in Wisconsin—while attending UW–Madison—that same spirit has carried us across the world, from remote island villages in Asia to the bustling streets of Europe and even the hidden lagunas of South America.
We’ve passed that love for adventure on to our children—teaching them to appreciate both the grand sights and the small joys, like a simple off-trail meal of granola and jerky (because food always tastes better outside).
A love for the wilderness, along with countless backcountry trips, has shaped both my storybooks and my art. I hope my books and prints bring your family as much joy as I’ve had creating them.
Some of my sweetest memories come from reading to our four little boys when the house was finally quiet. Those moments-snuggled up with a book-are priceless.
Our children are my greatest blessings and the inspiration behind my own stories, the kind that share love and life lessons in the simplest ways.
Before becoming a children's book author and illustrator, I worked as a graphic designer. The creation of art has always been a part of my world. My creative journey is not only creating art in print, but also in video. I'm an Executive Producer for a global Christian organization. Through mission work, I've been blessed to travel internationally, meet incredible people from different cultures, and share Christ's love with our brothers and sisters around the world.
