I am a collage artist working with hand-painted papers and acrylic on board. My work is inspired by the natural rhythms and quiet moments found in the landscapes around me.
I build each piece by layering painted papers over an underpainting. This process balances intention with spontaneity, as torn edges and layered forms suggest light, motion, and atmosphere.
My subject matter often centers on nature—birds, water, and grasses—capturing scenes that feel both familiar and timeless. I’m drawn to small, often overlooked moments that carry a quiet sense of story.
I hold a degree in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, with an emphasis in design, which influences my approach to composition and visual storytelling. My work has been recognized in juried exhibition, including a Second Place award in the “Nature in Motion” exhibit at MoChic Gallery (2025).
I continue to explore collage as a way of interpreting the natural world—capturing movement, presence, and a sense of place.
Some of my sweetest memories come from reading to our four little boys when the house was finally quiet. Those moments-snuggled up with a book-are priceless.
Our children are my greatest blessings and the inspiration behind my own stories, the kind that share love and life lessons in the simplest ways.
Before becoming a collage artist and children's book author and illustrator, I worked as a graphic designer. The creation of art has always been a part of my world. My creative journey is not only creating art in print, but also in video. I'm an Executive Producer for a global Christian organization. Through mission work, I've been blessed to travel internationally, meet incredible people from different cultures, and share Christ's love with our brothers and sisters around the world.
